I need to get at the back of my CD player to plug in RCAs for my system and need to take some of the dash appart. How do I take it appart the right way so i can get at the back of the cd player? I can figure it out, but i'm always afraid that i'm going to break something. Theres always a screw i miss and think its a push-pin and feel like i'm going to break something, any tips? Thanks. Oh, 1995 F-150 Eddie Bauer 4x2.

Im basing this off memory so if something doesnt sound right or what I describe isnt what you have then youll have to correct me . There should be a plastic bezel , fake wood grain thing , that suurounds the radio & heater controls , it just snaps off , just grasp it & pull , its got metal clips that secure it to the dash , Once you have that off you should see the stereo . It may require a special tool to remove the radio Vs the screws holding it in , The tool is used to secure , remove the radio to make it harder for stereo theives . Also , If its cold where you live , warm the interior of the truck up , that plastic stuff can break very easily in cold weather .

Are you trying to remove the entire unit, or just wanting to get to the back to plug in the wires? If you take your glovebox out, you can reach around and plug in the wires easy. The glovebox comes out in 5 seconds, it's hard to explain how to do it though. It's incredibly easy, so try that. That's what I did to remove my old cd player from my truck when I got a new one, reached around and pushed it out. Easy.
