Placed on a 95 E250
Brand: Hellwig Products
Manufacturer Part Number: 7604 front sway bars $206
7183 Rear Sway Bar $150
I have used their product before and knew finish and fitment would be good. powder coat is first class on the bars, recommend painting the brackets and hardware . I didn't this time, guess i am going to see how they hold up...
Fitment was ez . Both front and rear went on without hassles and all hardware was included. Install was about a hour & half, no lift/ on my back on the hot *** Florida cement.
Ride is light and day better with much less wallowing in the turns, but at same time I replaced shocks and added rear helper springs(used off my 95 F150) and a steering damper. Still need to install front in spring air bags and poly bushing all around.
Used the whole rig to do a round trip to Cooksville Tn and back. Sway bars huge asset in Tn. on the two lanes. The helpers are Hellwigs , don't know the # as they were on my 95 F150 lined up the same , so I used them. Pulling a trailer and a motor cycle in the van with a weeks worth of camping stuff they were awesome. Unloaded the van's ride was a little harsh, but I didn't loosen the helper springs up. Why a good air bag system, if you can afford it is a better option. Springs are 8 years old and looked like new after I pressure washed them prior to transferring them to the van. Quality hardware also with them, guesing the sway bars use the same hardware.
