79 exhaust backfire
Hey guys, I have a 1979 bronco, 400ci, automatic. I have an issue with it backfiring, it starts at about 1500rpm and is causing a performance issue. I have been doing a bit of reading around but can't figure out what's causing it. My thoughts are a sticky valve but I'm not 100% sure. Any ideas/suggestions?

backfiring is typically timing related. change out the cap/rotor and double check the timing is set correctly.
