Fuel filter change

Fuel filter is nearing 15k miles. Figure it's time to change it out. This wI'll be only my 2nd time changing it. First time was trial and error so to speak. Went to advance, asked for a fuel filter for a 97 f250 7.3. They gave me one. Got it home and it was the wrong one. Took it back and they gave me one with the lid attached to it. So what fuel filter do I need and where do you all get yours from? I'd like to get a motorcraft.

Ford Powerstroke 7.3L Fuel Filter 94-98

Fuel Bowl Cap 7.3L Powerstroke 94-97

OEM doesn't have the cap I guess.

There might be some one that converted to e fuel with a cap laying around

Pretty sure that's the one advance gave me first and it wouldn't fit.

NAPA Gold

I just change mine with a NAPA gold fits perfect , with cap on top of filter.Just unscrew and pull out old filter, remove old gasket too. push down and turn new filter & gasket counterclockwise a little, to prevent cross threading, then turn clockwise to install new filter, simple..

I use the NAPA Gold too. Comes with a lid and new gasket. My NAPA has an AITA program which gives you really good prices on filters. I got a 6637 air filter a month ago for $33 IIRC. The NAPA Gold oil filter for our trucks is $14. AITA is America's Independent Truckers' Assoc. Some NAPA stores out of my state have never heard of it and don't participate but it's free to join and will save you a bucket of cash if you join.

100 for mechanical pump and reseal kit.
Or
E fuel runs 300+ depending on pump and filter setup.

Literally? I suspect you could have sold it in the classifieds here. I have a spare fuel pump, but I could maybe use a spare bowl.

Considering I had a new pump, tight system, shimmed regulator and pressure that would go from 75 to 30 and dropping... I assure you efuel is the only solution. I literally picked up 5 lbs boost from having proper fuel supply.
At the end of the day they are your injectors to ruin.. What do I care.

I still have mine also. Mechanical pump probably only had 10k miles on it at most.
I held on to it incase someone needed it. I've tried giving them away a couple times. Lol
