Anyone have any idea what this is? Just bought the truck and have no idea. If you look at the area where the vent on the dash should be, there is the ashtray. Strange looking hood over the top of the speedo and I don't know where that came from either! Any enlightenment would be great!
New to forum, been searching around trying to find if anyone know where this dash that is in my "new" truck is from.
however the font used on the print of the gas gauge and speedo numbers looks somewhat "Moparesque" to me it looks as though the cluster surround has been grafted in there
look inside from behind and see if is any signs of welding gone on and or give the face a scratch thru the paint to see if you can uncover some body fill where the joints may be.
I would also hazzard a guess that there is some major wiring butchering gone on as it would take a lotta lengthening to get that key switch moved way over to the right like that. also those generic rocker switches in what may have been at one time the radio dial number window.
This just came up while scrolling through another thread. But the second I saw the instrument cluster I knew what it was. 1967 Ford Fairlane, as for the rest ya got me. I have been looking at the one in my Fairlane since 1994.
that's just a shame, I have this thing about dash boards, I consider it sacrilege to cut a dash. I think I would search for an original dash and swap it out.
