The TSB lists as applicable to the 5.0 and 6.2. I think the N/A and EB V6 guy are in the clear with this one.

I asked this exact same question before, either here and/or other forum (same wording also), but never got an answer. From the research I did, I couldn't find a reason why it would not apply to the n/a v6, same fuel pump circuit, etc.

So for a bit of insurance, I did the mod. Small price to pay, time/money, for peace of mind.

After doing mine with the kit, there is no reason that the same function can't be achieved with a simple off the shelf fuse holder for less than $5. If I had to do it again that's what I would use.

I don't know if any of us are in the clear. Earlier in this thread, post #26, beidle99 stated that his truck was displaying symptoms. His truck appears to be a 4.6 3V, just like mine. When I read his post, it convinced me it was time to do mine.

My 2009 4.6 2v had hard start then no start. Fuse was melted, replaced fuse and working ok. I bought the kit but haven't installed it yet.

To expand on my thought a bit more, the engine should have no bearing on the problem. I'm thinking that the fuel pump, pwr block and everything else would be the same parts on all the trucks, at least the F150's.

Understood. Was just going by the TSB paperwork:

Another F27 victim. Don't understand why people that know about this issue don't do it.

I guess it's like flu shots. Lot of people don't get them, then complain when they get the flu.
One of the cheapest/easiest things to do.

And another F27 victim. I need to get on here more often and read, would have saved me some time and frustration. FTE and the members have helped me solve a lot of problems on various models. What a PITA this morning, truck quit taking kids to school. At least I wasn't in hill country without phone service and remote. I goggled 2013 f150 cranks but no start and found my answer in seconds. My fuse came out in pieces. I need to order kit and fix for good. My truck has 97K, I do a lot of 3 to 4 hour drives. This should be a recall. Im going to vent on my dealer. Fix before you get stranded some where.

Finally tackled the "snake box" yesterday afternoon. Took an hour including time to hunt down my soldering iron. I also pulled the aluminum bracket from under the box to make more room to work.

I checked my fuse, it's fine now no signs of any heat issues. I'll do this fix this week I swear!

It's pretty large gauge wire, maybe 10 or 12, so get it good and hot to get a good flow.
