3" vs 2.5" Receiver

Has there been any confirmation what models will have each? I thought it might be split by engine, gasser (2.5), diesel (3) but I have not found confirmation either way.

I can not say for sure but I believe you get the 2.5" on the 250 unless you get the heavy duty tow package. I am not sure if you get the 2.5" or 3" on the 350 gas.

I saw a 250 Lariat today at the drive event....no HD tow package from what I could see (didn't have the 64U rims that it bumps to), and it appeared to have the 3" receiver. I don't know...might be 2 1/2. Looked pretty solid when I saw it in person though.

3" on all models unless someone changed that in the cover of darkness.

F250 w/ 6.2L regular tow package is 2.5 in. Heavy duty tow is 3.0 in. F-350 is 3.0 in all models

I bet it is a 2 1/2" since the 3" is not in production yet. This has all the commercial stampings of a production model. 2200 lb x 14,600 is a 2 1/2"

Yeah...you're right...2 1/2. I just looked at the Weigh Safe website and they only have 2" and 2 1/2 inch shafts available. If it doesn't have the sleeve, it's not a 3"....YET....lol

Weigh safe appears to be testing according to a picture that Jack posted that looked like the 3" ball mount due to the fact it had a pin for 3" trailer hitches

Ford does have some 3 inch weight safe hitches on some of these trucks even though they are not in production yet.

The truck pictured above has the 2.5" hitch

tht link also shows that the exhaust brake is optional on the platinum, The order sheet shows it included with the optional 6.7 on the lariat and lower but doesn't mention it anywhere on the platinum.

The usual wording as the levels go higher is "Everything on the Xxxx package plus "

Can anyone confirm that the 3" is standard on all 350's? Including SRW?

Now that is interesting... just looked at my Etis build and there is no mention of an Exhaust brake and it never came up otherwise. Does that mean it's standard on a F350 diesel equipped Lariat? Also, my Etis build mentions I have a Right hand spotlight? Don't get that one at all.
