advise please (7.3 E350)

Looked at the van yesterday. The over drive was added, the button on the left activates it. So here is the run down on the van........
The good) everything checked out , blow by test, no smoke, oil free of water etc. The thing ran like a top, shifted and handled smooth. ..
the bad) all 4 tiers were shot , fuel leaks all over. Two windows missing, ugly as heck(needs a paint job bad) several dents all over, the inside was completely trashed. Tow hich was very wimpy and I would have to replace it too. So I decided to pass. Just more of a project then want to deal with. I would rather spend more money on somthing that wont need as much.
On the plus side, I got addicted to idi diesels, the cool factor cant be matched, and the sound is just plain manly!!! Thank you all for your help. I will keep the board updated as I continue looking.

Damn. Anyone who wants a Gearvendor or US Gear Overdrive, you might want to pick up the OP's sloppy seconds.
Just get a C6 tailshaft housing from a junkyard for a few bucks, and find a driveshaft while you are there, and then resell the van for $800 to recoup your loss.

yea .. i understand the pass .. sounds to me like the makings of a perfect work van ..
though you already have one .. and are looking for a recreational vehicle .. and in that case it does make for alot to find one with a non ragged out interior ..
though tires .. dents .. paint .. leaky .. ugly .. but good running .. with overdrive .. sounds like a good deal to me .. as a work truck .. for something i plan to use for personal or recreation .. then i do like a nice interior ! windows help ...
