I was thinking in the opposite direction here....I have a 91 F-250 5.8 that I have put a roller engine with 1.7RR and GT40 heads and long tube headers. I was wondering if I could put a Lightning ECM on it, I didn't know if maybe they were a little more aggressive or what. My F-250 does have the E4OD in it. Any thoughts??
Already checked: gray Push-Start ignition. As previously stated I had two 1993 Lightnings and I know 100% both had the same Push-Start gray ICM on them. I chased an ignition problem on the second Lightning for a few months before figuring out I had a bad PIP in the distributor.
My first Lightning was crushed by a tree:
I bought it back from the insurance company to use for parts.
The red Lightning was replaced with a blue 1993 Lightning:
The red L found a new home at BlueOval's house outside of New Orleans a few years ago. Bobby wanted a good drive train for a project truck.
I did have part of the hickory tree that fell on that truck made into a fireplace mantel. Every time I walk into my living room I am reminded of that fateful night
Sorry about the red one. I really like that blue one. Looks great and right up my alley. I think you got the best of a bad deal. BTW if that is THE tree in the background why isn't is charcoal?

I extracted my revenge on that tree, trust me! The tree in the photo of the blue truck was another one I took down as a precaution. Ironic the photo of the blue truck is almost the exact same spot where the red one was squashed.
Pure awesome trophy mantel (pun intended). Justice is served. No disrespect but there are guys in East Texas that would be proud to use that as a bumper.
