('88 Ranger Ext. Cab 4X4)
Here's the deal...I cleaned the motor on the T-case shift mech., brushes are clean and the motor runs when I used some aligator clips and a 12v battery I had layin' around to test it. For some reason I'm not getting power to the motor from the harness. Would this be caused by that fuseable link, or is it the Elec. Control Unit. I can hear the relays clicking, but it still doesn't show power to the motor when I have the meter hooked up. The position sensor works because when I manaully shift it with the shift motor off it registers the correct position on the overhead panel. I'm stumped
My other question is...what is the proper weight (80-90, 80-140?) of oil for the diff.?
Also, the computers at the auto shop keep coming up with my rear diff. as having a Limited-Slip...do all rearends for the XLT's come with a LS diff.?
Please help!!!
Thanks,
Chris
