I have some exhaust questions that I am sure are being asked all the time. I have a 93' F-150 - SWB, 302, auto, 2wd. I am wanting to get a good deep sounding exhaust system. I haven't decided if I want to get headers put on or not since I have heard that they are expensive to get put on. Is this true? I have also heard that 2 into 1 muffler then back to dual exit is louder that true duals. Is this correct or cheaper? How much will a complete system run me if I decide to get headers, one flowmaster, and dual exit with chrome echo tips. I need some opinions on this suject.

I run the Flomaster 40 series, had a Delta 50, but ditched it for a louder exhaust. I wanted more in cabin noise. The 50 sounded great especially under load or when towing, and accelerating.

Headers are an ok add on.I run them. Get the aluminum or copper gaskets, as the cheap paper ones they give you have a tendency to blow if you run them hard.

I bought a set-up from summitracing.com (headers, catalytic conv., and Flomaster system) for like 700 delivered.
