Inspection laws

Hello everyone pretty infrequent member here and hoping this is the right section. If not tell me I'll delete it and post it in the right section.

I'm looking at a truck that's in Texas, 04 screw lariat. It has 35s which stick about 1/4 out of the fender wells and a flow master exhaust setup. I live in Louisiana and the state law says no more than 1" of tire can stick out past the fenderwells for inspections and exhaust must be stock. How strict are inspection places with this? In Virginia the laws were similar but I never saw an inspection station that cared. Anybody's help is appreciated.

It depends where you take it. Lots of places will throw a sticker on it and take your money.
