About time I introduce myself. I am 3rd owner of a 53 f500. It had a 12 foot grain bed with hoist and steel floor. I've gone thru the fuel system from new tank to new Holley 94. The original owner pulled the flat head and installed a 292 y block. Went thru the ignition and also upgraded to 12 volt. Rebuilt the brakes including disc brakes up front. Shortened the bed to 9' and the wheelbase by 2' so it's more like a ton truck. Stu fixed me up with wheels. I drive it to work occasionally. Will post pictures when I figure that out.
