We have just about redone the entire front of the truck and as we are starting to button her up, noticed that the battery cables leave a little to be desired.
you guys know of any quality sets out there or is it a "make your own" type deal?
Thank You- I think this is the one that needs replacing, the negatives just need new connections. I assume any battery connection would work for the negatives?
So of the 4 connections, the "main" positive is a three way. Would something like this work if we redid the connection?

Then I could use something like this for the other positive (crossover) and then the 2 negatives. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B005O...h4L&ref=plSrch
Would that work or am I missing something?
Thank you
Seconding this approach (marine style terminals as shown in the picture above) based on my own experience, particularly for the positive junction on the right side battery. I decided to replace just my terminal ends rather than the whole cable. Got some terminal ends from a battery dealer in walking distance from work, and they pressed them on for me which eliminated some of the hassle. The negatives are fine (regular C-shaped terminal end with bolt). But they used a three-way connector for that right side positive junction. The alignment was just not as good as the factory piece, and certainly would not allow as much adjustability as the marine style Mike suggested. Here's a picture. Works okay but I think what Mike showed would do better for you...unless you want to just go for the full cable assembly.
I had to change the orientation shown here (they inadvertently pressed them on backward from they way I needed it).
Careful if you go cutting old terminal ends off not to take off too much. Hope this helps, sometimes good to know what did not work out so well
The eBay terminals look cheap, and are probably undersized. The description is awful, but it appears to handle only up to 1/0, when IIRC the main cable is 2/0. Plus, there's no place to add a third wire for the main accessory power to the starter relay junction. The Amazon negative terminals are way undersized. You really need a double-entry flag terminal that will handle at least 2/0 wire soldered and/or crimped for the passenger-side positive, a terminal that will handle 2/0 for the driver's side positive, and terminals that will handle 1/0 for the negatives. The problem with any bolt-up arrangement, whether it's those cheapo terminals you linked or a "military" type, is that it's one more disconnect point, one more point of possible resistance, at each terminal.
What do you guys think of this?
Two, 1/0 negative straight top post terminals
One, 2/0 positive straight top post terminal
One, double flag terminal with 3rd wire capability
Do you think that would suffice for all the battery post connections? I hope i have the sizes right.

Out of curiosity if your going to buy the cables from them anyway, why not just get there pre made cables. Then it would be as simple as pull out the old and replace with new.

I'm just looking to buy the connections from them, my wires are OK and just redoing the connections is much cheaper.
