I have a 96 f250 with the 460 gas in it and I've noticed oil pressure fluctuations with it after i baught it that maybe someone can shed some light on. The truck looks like it's been babied, 9/10 interior and exterior which was pretty much the reason I baught it, I figured who would take that much care of it and neglect regular maintenance.
So the oil pressure issue I have usually starts after driving on the highway for 20-30 minutes at 70 MPH. The needle will start to shake and go down past the line in about 10 seconds. It will shake it's way up and down a couple times if there's hills but after a couple minutes it's just reading 0. If I drop speed to 60-65 it will read normal, or if I'm cruising and accelerate hard it will jump to Normal also but as soon as I let off the gas to coast it shoots back down. On another note if I'm using cruis controll when it goes down and I turn OD off to raise rpm it will jump to Normal for a second or two then go back down. Anyone have a similar issues?
Sounds like a loose/bad connection, likely at the sender.
Where the sender is, I'll have to leave that to those that know the Ford gas motors better than I.

Thank you for the speedy reply, I am hopefully that it's something minor like that. Also if anyone has any diagnostics to help narrow down the reason for this issue it would be much appreciated.
