97 exploder, 4.0, stall on startup

97 exploder, 4.0, stall on startup
my 97 expl 4.0, surges when started, cold or hot, settles down when put in gear, runs fine therafter until next start, have checked all sensors in intake curcuit and vacuam, all seem to be at spec, any ideas?????
New platinum plugs and wires did not make a difference, good milage and power..
