Hey guys on my hanger for the rear leaf springs I cant get the bushing to go into the shackle. On the leafs I had no problems. But on the hanger/shackle I cant the new in. I drilled out the old one there wasnt a round metal case on the old ones. Any advice on how to get em in.
The type of Shackle it has on it is the molded in rubber style. Will I need to order a new rear shackle or can the one with the metal outer shell be pressed in?

A ball joint press (IIRC my Chinese one was ~$50 on eBay) should be able to handle the bushings. $50 on eBay will also get you a set of nice shackles (1/4 steel and between 0 and 1.5" drop) with poly bushings though. Stock shackles are ~$20ea if you shop around.
I have posted in a couple thread now and spoke with a tech at Energy Suspension and still am having a hard time finding the molded in one for my truck. I tried the ES 4.2144 and 4.2122 and both didn't work. my bushing is an odd shape and seems to be a smaller diameter then the other ones I have tried.
it looks similar to this drawing been kind of a pain in the ****. and now the shackles bushing looks like a hot dog in a hallway
I took the shackle and the bushing down to a mechanic. He trird to press it in. Even cut the metal shell and crimped it. Still would go. Has anyone else had this problem. Or found the right bushing for it. The napa part number on the box was 7015 for the last 4 numbers. The guy said it was the right one but clearly its not. Dang it.
