I agree, a blue flame metallic super duty with chrome bumpers would be great. Obviously it's just my opinion, but I'm just not that impressed with any of the colors. I want a truck that pops. Something that stands out from the masses. With the possible exception of the red, which is what I've had for the last 8 years, the rest of the colors are dull and boring in my opinion. I've always liked blue, but the blue jean is dark and, depending on the light, doesn't even look like a true blue/navy at times. I desperately need more truck for my toy hauler, but I'm tempted to wait and see if they add a brighter/better blue over the next year.

Do you think anyone will ever try to "RatRod" an aluminum truck? Or if you want it to really pop strip all the paint and polish the aluminum like an airplane fuselage. Now that would be unique.
You cannot get the chrome package with the two tone paint on a King Ranch
You can according to the ford build and price. Plus their are a lot of KR pics out there with chrome bumpers. I thought they may have been prototype trucks they put together for the shows, but i just tried to build one with two tone paint and they do offer the chrome package.

I know you and I keep going around with what you can get and not get,... but where do you see this? I am wanting White Gold on top of caribou with chrome package and chrome bumpers. Everything I have built online and every concept the dealer has built shows that's not a problem. What are you seeing that is different, or what am I misunderstanding?
I think I am just confused. I know that if you get monotone you have to get chrome. I just went back and built another and I can get two tone with chrome. So I guess I need to figure out if I want to change my order

No problem,.. you just had me worried I was missing something.... again.
My Ford salesman has a F150 KR two tone and the chrome package. The rear bumper is 100% painted and only the center of the front bumper is chrome. Any bigger pixs of that so we can see whether the SD's are different from the F150's? I would want a fully chromed front and rear bumper
Throughout my experience with vehicles I have used the bumpers to do just that, bump things or push things. Maybe times in my life have changed where these activities are not on the horizon. I like the appearance of the painted bumpers but I cannot for the life of me figure why a tool on a truck would be rendered un-useable by painting it. Of course it can be rattle-canned if it gets scratched but chrome is hard and used on bumpers for just that reason. Each to his own but I like chrome for its toughness, even if the colors look prettier.
Exactly. Chrome doesn't scratch as easy when somebody at Walmart runs a shopping cart into it. And I can get bugs off with gasoline or any other chemical where with paint I can't.

You cant go by what the f150's offer. There are a few things that come with a 150 that arent available on the sd. One example is you can get led headlights on a scab f150 but not on the SD, youd have to get a crew. F150 lariat comes standard with body colored mirrors but not on the SD lariat, only on the KR. Although i have seen a few pics of SD lariats with painted mirrors, but they were probably built just for the shows and events, so the actual trucks will be different. The F150 lariat also comes in gray interior as an option, but the SD is only black or camel.
Now that i think about it, all the painted mirrors lariats ive seen are the trucks with the 20" alum/black wheels. Maybe thats a package that gives you those wheels and painted mirrors, but on the build and price, those wheels are nowhere to be found. Maybe they just havent got the build website complete yet.
Johndeere... look back through Josh's experience thread. There are several pictures of Chrome Two tone KR's.
If you can zoom in on this White Gold/Caribou... you will see the side vent in the fender say King ranch
Will do but look at the pix posted in post #19. That two tone truck has caribou around the chrome bumper and the rear bumper is painted- exactly what my salesman said the F150 look like
