Silerstar headlight installation
BTW, the local Wally World gets about $36 per pair to buy the 9007 and 9005 lamps which seems like a good price to me....
The did the job in my old Isuzu truck when I got clears for it...they do the job for my 94 (that had the yucky yellowing units) with Euro Clears.
Either that or every one is flashing at me because a cop is somewhere up the road hiding.
Those 02's come with real nice lenses anyway, so I doubt the s-stars are of real help for the money.
Any real help you get from a 55w/65w bulb is of the "I spent $36...this HAS TO BE BETTER!" frame of mind.
Am certain the '02's are the same headlight configuration.
There are two tabs, one on each side of each headlight above the headlight on the radiator core support...you pull them up and the headlight pops out...pull the light forard a bit to access the bulb connector.
WARNING !! the plug connector clip has an end that slips over a little bump. You need to lift it up GENTLY to pull the plug connector off...pull it up too far and you break it !!
Disonnect the plug...unscrew the bulb...replace the factory one with the Silverstar WITHOUT touching the bulb !! I've read where the grease and dirt on your hands can mess up the bulb.
Put everything back together then align the little arms on the back of the headlight assembly with the holes in the radiator core support and seet the headlight. Then push DOWN on the tabs you pulled up.
The first light took me like 10 minutes and I broke one of the little ears on the plug retainer, but the 2nd light went real fast.
I noticed the difference the first time I used the new headlights. And yes Martha...they are more expensive than standard bulbs...but you get what you pay for.
I kept my stock bulbs as emergency replacements.
These were the easiest headlight bulbs I ever replaced.
Good luck...and remember BE GENTLE.

One of the lower retaining studs is shorter than the other, and getting it properly aligned so that all 3 go fully into their respective holes is a test of patience. BUT, IF your headlight is at all floppy, then at least one of those 3 studs is NOT fully engaged.
This is where I would advise anyone contemplating replacement headlight bulbs and clear corners, to seriously consider doing them BOTH AT THE SAME TIME ! Otherwise you are just gonna do all the same work over again.
Its NOT hard to do either, and it only takes a few minutes, BUT it is repeatative effort to remove the headlights twice.
However, its water under the bridge now.
The front sure does look cleaner with clear corners too.
