Do you think a cam bearing could have been causing low oil pressure or still think it's oil cooler? I wouldn't thinking shimming it would increase oil pressure at idle thay much shouldn't it be closed at idle?

Yeah I know what you mean. My spare idit is still at machine shop, I keep seeing all these threads with issues from a rebuild and I'm trying to ensure I don't have those problems. My current engine will drop to 3psi pushing in clutch on Highway with ac on and it'll idle at 6psi hot. I'm glad your rebuild fixed the oil pressure problem.

Do you record pre and post intercooler Temps to see how efficient it is?

I use 3 of these F C DC 12V Blue LED Digit Car Gadgets Temp Meter Thermometer with DS18B20 Sensor | eBay

One right at the turbo inlet to account for cdr temp increase, one at turbo inlet and one at intake inlet. I cut a couple silicon boots up and clamped them around the probes.

when i bought my truck the po left some paperwork in the glove box that should the trans been worked on a few times . it still was not right so i thought i would rebuild it. i was thinking the case was bad since they could not get it right. went to the jy and found this.
nice place to start, owner likes me and let me have it as a rebuildable core. they had put a triple disk tork in the other trans so i will use that one. order alto red eagle stage 3 power pack clutches .

price was not bad
