What's it worth?

Just starting to think about selling my 150 and was curious about what's it worth. I've checked the classifieds and some on-line valuation sites for comparison too.

It's a 1998 F 150 4x4 with 47,000 miles. Has extended cab, AC, 5 speed stick and 6 1/2' bed with a Leer cap.

It's in great shape and never been used for plowing or pulling a trailer.

Of course, it's only worth what someone will pay for it. Based on what I've seen, I am coming up with anywhere between $10,000 and $11,500.

Sound reasonable?

Thanks

Craig

A quick check at edmunds.com confirms you are pretty much in the ball park. I presumed an XLT with basics such as a CD player.

I have heard that a manual transmission subtracts a fair amount from the resale price. And of course also limits the folks who would be interested in taking a look at your truck.

I bought an 03 4 X 4, XLT, extended cab etc. with manual transmission and even getting a dealer to find one can be an issue for the few folks that still want such a beast.

The 04 will not have a manual as an option. All will be automagics.

Perhaps you can spin this into I have something hard to get and one should pay a premium. Hey, worth a try. LOL

Good luck on your sale.
