Either no power or ground to the PCM or a bad PCM or its plug.

Yup, you need to start checking power, ground and fuses.

The computer grounds the fuel pump pin to turn it on, so it makes sense if your test light was hooked up to positive.

Well a bit odd, but probably fine if thr furl pumps still turned on if you grounded it. Which is what happened, correct?

If pins 1, 37 and 57 all have power with the key on, and pins 20,40 and 60 all have a good ground connection, then the computer is dead.

The inertia switch will only receive power if the fuel pump relay is on, which will only turn on if the computer is working, and even then it will only energize for 1 second unless the engine is running.

Have you verified that pins 1, 37 and 57 on the PCM connector have power with the key on?

If they lit up, and pins 20,40 and 60 have ground, then I believe your computer has failed if the check engine light does not come on, and the fuel pumps do not run.

Do you have a spare computer to put in it?
