Swaping Out Rear End?
I was thinking about swaping the rear end on my 86 F-150(2WD) for one with 4.10 gears or 3.73's. I'm not sure what gear I have now but I know it is very high, around 3.08 or higher. It has a 3spd with overdrive straight drive and I was wondering if this would cause any problems with switching things out. I know of a 9" rear end with 4.10's in it and I wanted to just swap the entire complete axles out, without paying someone to regear.
Would this work? Or would 4.10's with a 3spd w/Overdrive be way to low of a gear?
