Hi,
I have a 2008 Navigator with 130k. It has an air suspension. It is primarily driven by my wife. I drove it this past weekend and the rear end seems very bouncy. Are there shocks that need to be replaced? I was under the impression that he air suspension didn't have any. If so is there a service manual that someone can direct me to for the procedure on how to replace? I have never worked on an air suspension before.
Thanks in advance
Pete
sounds like you will need new shocks. the air suspension uses both shocks and springs, but instead of coils, the springs are air bladders, its a complicated system. there are threads where members put up vids and instructions for changing out suspension components. luckily i havent needed to yet but i may need to plan on doing so soon.
