Just picked up a 79 F150 Manual trans with a 302 in it a couple of days ago. Starts at when cold but, idles for about 5 minutes and stalls, then when tried to restart won't run unless you spray choke cleaner or pour a shot of gas down the carb throat. I suspect it is one of the chokes since the problem goes away when hot.
Need recommendations? Should I get into replacing choke parts or should I just order a carb and call it a day? Carb is about 10 years old.
Also willing to sell if anyone is looking for a their next project, I bought the truck from brother in law to help with cash flow issue. When I repair it its going for sale anyways. I consider to be a good project truck, body is fair, original paint, interior is very acceptable.
