Another no start

Hey guys wondering if there is a thread for a no start-crank on a 02 psd. The truck popped the 30a fuse under the dash today after work. Replaced it and popped immediately when key was turned.no crank. Starter is only a year old or so, good batterys clean connection. Any advice is always appreciated. Thanks

That fuse is usually related to a failed fuel bowl heater. You will see the connector for it on the back and towards the bottom of the fuel bowl. Unplug it, replace the fuse and see if she will fire off. Most of us unplug this anyway, it really doesn't serve too great a purpose. Either that or remove the fuel bowl heating element and replace, if you really want to keep it.

Okay, So I had the same thing going on spring and early summer. Turned out to be a short of the wire to the starter down the back side of the block. There was a clamp that had rubbed the wire and it would intermittently short. But you have to narrow down where the short is and Pikachu had a good diagnostic here:

Then you can check the thread here if you want.

Ok guys thanks for the help, im thinking that I found some issues. First off the starter solenoid was loose, meaning the cap can rotate. Took it in to the local electric shop and he put a new solenoid on and tested it. Went through the ground system and cleaned all of those guys up. The block grounds might have been a little suspect too. While testing i didnt want to burn through those 7 dollar fuses, so i built a reset able breaker for the 30a fuse. Here are some pics. Made it out of spare parts laying around.(the breaker was only 5 bucks)

Trimmed the top and solder on some wire

Be sure to note the + wire
