Does this truck have rear curtain air bags to help protect my kids? If not, what year did they added that as standard. Also, this truck has 5.4 with 145k miles. Is this engine famous for phaser problem?

Air bags are usually marked, sometimes with like a shirt type tag.

Yes. The truck is 4 hours away. I rather have someone tell me yes or no if 2008 came with curtain airbags for back seat. If it is standard then I will call the dealer.

from a quick Google and look in the manual that can be located here https://owner.ford.com/tools/account...h-results.html it doesn't appear that ford started using side airbags in the super duty's until 2011.

No rear air bags in an 08 Super cab. I owned one. If you can afford an 11 and up Id steer you that way. I wasnt happy with the 5.4, 5R110W drive train. 5.4 was a slug and the Torque-shift gave me trouble, never failed at 85K when I traded it, but had all the Torque-shift quirks.
Im much happier with the current 2011 6.2, 6R140 drive train. Much more power in the 6.2, no spark plug or phaser issues. My 08 exhibited all of the known trouble traits from wheel well rot to exhaust manifold studs to ticking up shifts in the trans etc...Too bad too as it was loaded to the gills, almost a KR. Glad to get rid of it though.

Thank you. That's all I need to know. I will wait for 2011 to be more affordable for me.
