The best thing to do would be to find a scan tool with the capability to read the SRS / Airbag diagnostic codes.
Without that, you're stuck guessing. If you have the "Easy Exit" feature enabled, there's a good chance you have a broken wire for the seat belt tensioner or side air bag due to the constant movement of the driver's seat. It could also be a worn/damaged clockspring in the steering column. Then there's the chance that a sensor is damaged or ground connection is corroded. It could also be an issue with the Restraints Control Module.
