C6 transmission

My 1990 F350 has a dead C6 transmission. Will the transmission from a 1985 F150 with 4.9 litre bolt in?

Yes, I think it will.
I know other people on this board know if it will or not.

C6 transmission

Thanks Madman. The '85 F150 says transmission code K and the '90 F350 also says transmission code K. Dealer says both are C6 but tail shaft housing could be different length. Guess it's time to crawl underneath in the snow.
