Longview Custom Towing Mirrors for F150

I've found the 2016 Lariat Screw I want and it has all my options EXCEPT the towing mirrors. So I've found the Longwview mirrors on etrailer.com. They have good ratings but I'm wondering if anyone here has used them. Opinions?

I've never used that brand, but I've tried similar systems on previous rigs and haven't been satisfied. They didn't fit right or seem secure. Those might be fine, but I won't ever use them again.

The tow mirrors were the one thing I couldn't find in the trucks on my local lots. I ordered the truck just the way I wanted it, including the tow mirrors. I recommend doing the same. You'll be way more satisfied in the long run with the integrated OEM system.

Order a truck with what you want. Id get the factory mirrors. Ive found the aftermarket ones just don't have the quality.

For personal reasons I don't have the time to wait on an order. So I have to find one currently on lots. Plus, I can get $3500 in rebates by buying from dealer stock.

I would sooner get the factory accessory mirrors and deal with the loss of features than use the ones you referenced.

Factory mirrors with power glass and and the turn signal are nearly $700 each, which I'm not willing to pay. Autonation Ford sells the accessory manual mirrors for $270.

With all due respect, that's exactly what I don't want to do. I'm not going to replace my existing mirrors. Given the fact that about 90% of the time I won't need them I don't mind having the add-ons for the other 10%.

As I originally said, reviews on the etrailer site are really good for these. Was just hoping someone on this board had some experience to share.

Fair enough. Sounds like the Longview mirrors are about the only show in town unless you want some generic clip-ons. For the price they're worth a shot considering the good reviews they've gotten.

Just ordered a pair, have max tow with standard mirrors, for the amount of towing I am doing, this works, did not like the tow mirrors on my last max tow!

I was the opposite...loved the tow mirrors on my '13 Max Tow-equipped truck. Was always disappointed with the fuel economy, and one review suggested the tow mirrors may have been responsible for as much as 1 MPG on the highway.

Have you used them yet? Would love to hear impressions if you have.

These are what I'm getting: **** 11550 2015-2017 F-150 Custom Towing Mirrors Pair

I don't tow enough to change to full tow mirrors that's why I didn't get them.

You might want to check out the Longview mirrors on etrailer.com. I think they get better reviews and have been tested to work on 2015 and 2016 models. FWIW.

interesting you say they have been reviewed and tested. No one in the 4 F-150 forums I belong to have ever used them. Reviews by the sellers or manufacture are worth nothing since they should be considered bias. Why would anyone making or selling a product make a claim they are anything less than better than ..........? That would be a great way to kill off your business.

I could be wrong, but it would be the exception if these work anywhere near as well as regular tow mirrors regarding vibration, adjustment or longevity.

I figured I'd share what I use with my F-150. I got these (look similar to the Longviews) for the same reasons you are getting yours. The few times I have used them they did what they were supposed to do and the fit was very solid. They look like they were part of the truck and had no noticeable vibration.
