We just picked up a new 2016 Explorer with the 2.3 EcoBoost today. Not a bad rig, and a great price! Next step is to pick up some floor mats for at least the front 2 rows and the cargo area. Any recommendations?
Oh and because these things are worthless without pics...

I've been using Weathertech floor mats and cargo area mats for years in all my vehicles. They work great, last forever and clean up beautifully when filthy.
Thanks for the recommendations! How about in the cargo area, I was kind of hoping to find something more rubbery so when we fold the 3rd row up I can just fold it up behind the seat. Does the weathertech product do this or is it more rigid like the front floor mats?
I haven't used the mat which, fits on top of the 3rd row when the seat are folded.
I currently have the mat which fits in the well beneath the 3rd row (shown here)
I do know that the mat in the rear well of my '14 and in the rear of my '08 explorer are not the same material as the front mats and will fold-up easily. (each arrived in a 6" x 6" box rolled up)
Since I keep the 3rd row folded almost all the time, I have the Weathertech mat for the cargo area. While not exactly soft, it isn't as rigid as the front floor mats and you can bend it up if yo raise the third row seats. Not the prettiest, but it works. Or you could just buy both sizes!
