How do I know what software version . .
How do I know what software version is installed from the factory on new 250's that I have been looking at. Is there any way to tell from the VIN number or decals on the truck? What software versions should or shouldn't I look for. I appreciate all you’re input, its good to see a forum full of nice people that are willing to let it all out.
I think I'm getting a headache trying to figure out the big question: should I get the 7.3, 6.0 or wait a while and see what happens.

I sure wish someone had the answers you were looking for. I wanted to know too. I know my truck was reprogrammed on the dealer lot before I bought it but they won't tell me what revision flash is on it. It HAS to be in the Ford database for my VIN, but I can't seem to be able to get that information. Good luck to you.
