New to these trucks so a quick question on the window switch controls. I put power to the truck for the first time in about 8 years. First thing i wanted to do is see if the power windows worked. Everything went down very nicely but getting them back up was a no go from the driver seat. They all worked well seperatly but not from the pilots seat? Is it a typical issue with these trucks? When rocking the switch I can hear a relay under the dash panel close to where the access panel for the fuses. Mirrors work as well as do the locks. I pryed up the switch panel and un plugged it and reinstalled it with no luck. As it is I cant get the driver side window up or the passanger window up from the driver side? Thoughts? Thanks in advance.
I've had the master switch on the drivers door act up before. I went with the cheap replacement from Rock Auto and it's been working fine for several years.
If everything works from the individual doors but not the drivers seat, it sounds like it's that switch.
There are Diodes in the Switches Soldered across the Master Console. For some reason, maybe water intrusion, I replaced a lot of those.
I would ensure there is not a connector or wire issue prior to replacement with a Test Lamp or DVOM.
As stated Rock Auto, or even e-bay has them. I used one from e-bay on my personal truck and found it for $15 for entire unit. I'm cheap, it may last, it may not. But, for the past year its worked well.
Had the same thing happen as I went through the DD drive through early in the morning. Parked in the high top parking garage at Tampa Genreal with my window down all day. Nobody messed with it and I picked a replacement master switch up at NAPA on the way home. Seems like issues never happen to the excursion on a weekend.
So I went ultra cheap today... Our local pick a part is having a 40% off sale this weekend so off I went. There had to be 50 Chevy trucks but not a single 99 thru. 2003 F350 or f250.
I happened to spot a fairly fresh expedition that had the driver door intact. It ended up costing me $13.00 and works perfectly. Typically I'm not a big fan of used parts but it works great for $13.00.

I do hope that you continue to post, I am learning plenty from your endeavors.
I have a similar experience complete with the click sounds. I replaced the drivers side switch you have pictured, did not resolve my problem.
I now wonder if my replacement used switch is also bad.
I may go the Rock Auto route.
I must admit I was puzzled after looking over my original switches and doing an ohms check on it. It showed good... That is why I was thinking relay or something else. For $13.00 it was worth the try for me and seeing that window fly up and down was well worth the time and effort. Too bad you don't have a friend with a like vehicle that might let you try his switches to insure that is the problem. My dead switch clicked as well. I could hear it clicking in the fuse panel as well... But no action! I did notice that the expedition cluster fit much tighter in the electrical receptical than the old switch plugs did? What ever that may be worth.
I am starting to see more and more of this era of trucks with window and door lock problems and am finding broken wires in the hinge area of the driver door where the loom bends every time the door is opened .
