Before anyone busts my bubble, I'm completely aware a lifted truck will not ride factory and most likely ride harder. But this is rediclous.
So I bought a 8" super lift for my F250 7.3 2000, although the price is very cheap 1007$ at that shipped to my door debating if I have messed up either with the brand or somewhere because I feel like I went from a casual ride in my lovely 7.3 to feeling like a horse carriage of a few century's ago.
Lift is setup with lift leaf springs in the front, one add a leaf in the rear with a block, and 4 new shocks and all the other hardware included to do the lift.
I'm wondering if it's possible the springs are installed wrong, or the shocks are just that bad or if there a weird issue I've over looked.
Tire pressure is set to 35-40 psi all around on toyo open country mts, (which I was running before the lift so that hasn't changed) but I mean this is so stiff that when I hit a bump my steering wheel jerks and I feel like my suspension has absolutely no flex in it. Debating on returning to stock or not at this point...
I would think for the steering, before you invest in shocks, I would consider installing a drop pitman arm, I'm sure 8" of lift has to be straining the angles on the linkage.
It's likely you got really cheap shocks. Post a pic looking at your front axle and steering linkages. That kit should have come with a drop pitman arm and track bar relocation bracket. Were they installed?

This is already installed. Pitman arm, center line drop, sway bar drops

Yes they were. Installed all the drop brackets with the kit which did include steering pitman arm drop and center link drop as well as the sway bar drop
The nature of the cheaper lift kits come with stiffer springs. I don't think you will see a huge difference in ride quality by better shocks. Typically the cheaper kits are stiffer so they can still tow, less axle wrap, less sway, and they can still function more or less like a truck.
I am wondering if the U bolts were torqued while the spring has hanging or with the full weight of the vehicle on it.
If you torque the u bolts with the spring unladen it can bind the spring and make for a harsh ride.
What do you mean unladen. Or do you mean unloaded? I installed the springs tighten then, then dropped the truck down onto the axle and tightened the bolts but I can't remember if I did it with the weight of the truck on or not
I've never rode in a truck that has a spring lift that rode with a hoot no matter what you've done. For that much lift I'd go 4 link and big coil overs on it. Softer ride then stock imo

Need to eliminate those ignorant lift blocks if you want to lessen axle wrap.
If you were inclined to swap shocks I'd suggest bilstein
