My truck is going to dealership tomorrow not running right but what I need too know is should I get the latest flash program update not sure what it's called what should I ask for or should I not do it what do you all think
If its a running condition, they will prob ck the latest flash anyway and update as needed, you ever had anything done at a dealership before on that truck?
Jimbo, are you running any tunes. With that 4" cat-back exhaust you may be. I'm under the saying if it ain't broke don't fix it. If you are running a tune that could screw with it.
Ok. Before you agree to any work come back on here and explain what they want to do and all your symptoms. Got some great Dealers out there and then the other ones. Some mechanics and some parts replacers. At least you'll know where you stand when you go back. Good luck
Okay the tech at dealership told me I need injectors 5&7 and done the update flash and wow I went from 15&17 avg mpg to 20&23 avg mpg on my 60 miles back home. So should I do anything else when I'm doing them 2 injectors I'm also doing oil cooler and egr delete at the same time
Jimbo, I don't know the early 2004 so I hope someone that does will jump in.There are a few differences between the 04 and the 06 like HPOP, dummy plugs no stand pipes. Your fuel mileage will settle back down. When I got my last flash it reset the mpg gauge and mine did the same thing. I got excited ;-) then it slowly settled back down.
I'm not sure what all I should do why'll I'm changing 5 & 7 injectors but my build date is 08/03 titled as 04 so I'm guessing it's what they call a early 04
