While talking with an older gentleman, I saw something on a shelf that caught my attention.
There were 3 flip charts of "carburetor and fuel charging assembly adjustments". On them is: Ford Parts and Service Division Training and Publications Department.
Inside, it says: This Flip Chart pictorially illustrates step-by-step adjustment procedures for Ford Car and Truck Carburetors and Fuel Charging Assemblies. The use of special tools, when required, has been identified in the affected procedural steps.
OBJECTIVE: The objective of this Certified Training Program is to provide you with the information required to enable you to properly adjust all carburetors and fuel charging assemblies for Ford cars and trucks. The adjustments are given in the proper order for "on-vehicle" service. These adjustment procedures and techniques do not supersede the provisions of the Warranty and Policy Manual and in any cases where there may be a conflict, the provisions of the Warranty and Policy Manual shall govern.
The adjustment procedures, and specifications in this flip chart were in effect at the time the flip chart was approved for printing. Ford Motor Company reserves the right to discontinue models at any time, or change specifications, design or testing procedures without notice and without incurring obligations.
The flip charts cover the following years: 1979/1980, 1981/1982 and 1983/84.
The 1983/1984 flip chart also covers fuel injection for the 2.3L Turbo, 3.8L central fuel injection and 5.0L central fuel injection. It has procedures for carburetor idle mixture adjustment propane enrichment.
I don't know. No real idea. But, maybe a picture or picture would help? I'm having a hard time imagining how large they are, what shape they are in, and if there are three charts or 3 sets of charts.
Interesting. So, I guess I misunderstood. There are maybe 15 pages and each is maybe 8 1/2 x 11"? Probably not something that would go on the wall, unless it was put in a case of some kind.
