knock senser
I have a 1996 F-150 300. Could anyone please tell me where the knock senser is located. I was told it had a red plug well I have none then. It looks likd a sensor in the block between the coil and the distributer. Might that be it???

It doesn't help, because the computer try to put timing as advanced as posible in some conditions, if engine knock, sensor sends a signal to computer and then it delay timing a bit until knock disapear. you usually listen just 1 or 2 knocks before computer correct it.
