New Gears
I finally got the new gears in my 9" rearend. I had the 3.5s replaced with the 3.0s that I got from Daryl. What a difference! I have a c-4 tranny so the taller gears really help in the top end. Several guys told me that the lower gears were better, but I am very happy with the new shift points and the lower highway engine rpms. Now, when taking off from a stop sign I can make it across the intersection without it shifting into 2nd. If anybody out there is contemplating going to 3.0s I would certainly encourage it.
