I had these bagged with all my other dash parts and hardware but, I don't remember where they went.

I'm pretty sure they were supporting the wire harness. I thought I had pictures of everything but I don't see these installed.

 

Yes, for the wiring harness. I believe the one on the left goes right between the gauges.

 

Thanks Ross, I wonder if it isn't the other one? Wherever the one on the left was, it got hit with that copper paint during a backyard paint job.

Is there one near the radio speaker grill? Copper over-spray there for sure.

Guess I'll have to lay up under there and look closer for some marks or see where the harness needs support.

Could be. I don't see either in this shot of a truck rewired stock.

 

Based on my truck, which may have not been completely stock by the time i got it and is a 51. The clip on the left may be the clip that attaches to the bottom bolt of the left hood hinge.


The clip on the right attaches to the bottom stud for mounting the speedometer.


This picture was taken through the hole in the dash for the speedometer pointing downward.
