LMC Wiper Arms

Is there a difference in the length of wiper arms and blades from '51-'52's to '53-'56's? Looking at LMC's catalog the '51-'52's are more expensive for both the arms and the blades than the '53-56's, and I'm always looking to save a buck.

Try Tom's Bronco www.tomsbroncoparts.com parts. They have arms listed for out old Ford trucks. Want to know why a Bronco place sells stuff for our old Fords? Because they also fit Broncos. So Bronco stuff might be cheaper than old Ford stuff.

Later!

I bought Trico Classic arms and blades off Amazon. If I can find part numbers I'll post them. I think I got the info off this forum from a post from Ross.

The LMC prices aren't bad - I just don't know why the '53-'56 ones are cheaper.

I bought some non Trico arms and blades from LMC,can't say the quality is that great.
The blades are super sloppy when mounted on the arms.

What's nice about the Trico arms is their heavy spring to keep the blades on the glass. The old arms on mine (stock Ford?) were junk, they used a leaf spring and it just wasn't any good.

I agree! I bought some from LMC and the fit was terrible. I had them too long to send them back so they ended up in the junk pile.

Sounds to me that Trico is the way to go. Love this forum, I never feel alone.

did your wiper arms come with different ends? Mine only have the wide bayonet, and I can't get it to attach to the wiper blade. I need the wrist attachment.

Not sure if this is what you mean by "wrist" attachment, but this is what came with mine.

Mine came with a 7mm bayonet end. It didn't come with that piece that snaps onto the wiper blade. So, I have an arm and a blade that won't marry up.

Is the 7mm really the end of the arm? Can you take a picture? Sounds like Trico changed things.

Check this page, down near the bottom they show adapters.
