Just one more reason not to go to Bill's 10. I took the bait and downloaded the free program and it sucked so-o-o bad that I paid $49.95 to Toshiba to reload 8. 10 does away with the restore command among other things. One of these days I am going to bag Windows for Ubuntu. I have heard some amazing things from Ubuntu users. The big one is the code is open so the crazies don't find it fun to write viruses for it.

And in my computer holding down the alt button while typing 0186 does the º. Having been in the refrigeration business, I used it multiple times a day.

What does this mean "Just one more reason not to go to Bill's 10"?
Are you recommending that we don't go to Windows 10?
I am working on WIndows 7 now when using the Alt 248 °.

I am not making a recommendation, just tell my story and let you make up your own mind. The thing that pisses me off the most about anything computer related is updates. Why do they find it necessary to make the update almost a completely new product? And in order to guarantee that you spend more money (doesn't he have enough now?) they stop supporting the older formats. One would think that the older formats would just go away as the older computers die and get replaced by newer models. I guess he wants as much as possible as soon as possible. I have my old laptop which I just did a full reboot to clear out all of the old junk. One of these days I will make that a Ubuntu computer. On another site I frequent, a lot of those guys have done this and they swear by it. And Ubuntu runs 98% of all applications that Windows does so there is little or no loss of function. Used to be a pain in the *** to make the change (had to download the program on a thumb drive then reload it to the computer) now all you do is download it directly to the computer. I'll let you know how it works.

Later!

That is why we have so many pools here in Arizona! AC's and at least it's a dry heat... but I don't do much work on the truck in the summer... Just had to take a tire off the old girl and bring it to the tire shop and have them fix a slow leak at the bead.

° Hey, I did it!
A dry heat would be nice for a change. I have been running the AC in my car to work in the morning just to keep the moisture off the windshield.
In the afternoon, I run it because it's a sauna.
