Wheel questions
We went and looked at it, and the tires are shot. After looking at various pics here, I'm considering either 235 or 245/75/R15 for tires. What I can't seem to find an answer for is aftermarket rims (backspacing/offset).
I'm aware of the rear track difference, but I really want the same setup on all four corners for a proper rotation pattern. What should I be looking for as far as wheels go?
If you want to correct the visual anomaly of these rigs crabbing down the road due to the narrower rear track width, opt for tires that are wider in back. I know that goes against your goal but that's one way. The other is to spec a 3-inch back space for the rear wheels to push the wheel/tire combo closer to the rear fender lip.
Here's my rig with 275/60-15s in back on 15x8 and 225/70-15s in front on 15x7s... all with zero offset. The tires are of the same diameter but different width and aspect ratio. It is lowered with DJM beams in front (-3) and an axle flip in back (-5) so it sits level.

.
It will put the rear wheels at the same track width as the fronts and you'll be able to install the same width tires and wheels all the way around.
You'll need to move the leaf spring perches and lower shock mounts inward on the Dentside/Bullnose 9-inch rear end housing tubes by 2" per side to line up with the Bumpside leaf springs and rear shocks.
Is the rear end the same minus width, meaning same driveshaft?
If I went with one of the tire sizes I mentioned on a 7 or 8 inch wide rim (zero offset), would it still work with the original rear (no rubbing) until I can get it changed?
Thanks for the advice.
