None in your local wrecking yards? The big wrecking yards in my area don't have them either. You will have better luck at the little not so well known yards as they have older stuff.
I don't know if it matters, but the 79 and up 460's are externally balanced. Which is what the 86 460 would be. I don't know if you are wanting to use the 86 internals to stick in another block. In other words I don't know if the 86 rotating assembly will work in a 78 and back internally balanced 460 block.

SUPERDAVE Thanks for the reply.
I have found a couple in the junk yards around here
but for 3-5 hundred dollars and your not sure what
your getting( probably need to rebuild).would i be
better off buying a whole rebuilt motor from the local
Ford dealer for $ 2000.00. the motor i have now threw
a rod or two and blew a hole in the block and two in the
oil pan . I assume it cant be repaired?
