I know it was an available color in 71. My dad bought a Bronco that year in that color and it's always been one of my favorites. Was it available in the 61 - 66 years? I think it would look good on my 65.
You are right that it would look good on your 65.
I have always loved the look of the 65, with either an original 66, or as mentioned by Mr. Number Dumby, service replacement for 65.
I am currently trying to work a deal with a gentleman that had swapped a 66 F250 long bed body , onto a 76 F250 4x4 chassis.
Coolest part of the swap, is a completely rust free , original paint body, with original paint and all panels are in excellent condition , red with white top custom cab, with all the correct interior (door cards , and padded dash) all intact.
It's a '66, not a '65, and it isn't a 4 X 4, but it is Candy Apple Red. I just had it painted that color because I wanted to, but you probably could have had it from the factory in '66 as a Domestic Special Order.
