Curiosity, why cut all the way on the white tailgate, why not just jut the "PER| out of the second tailgate and a space to add it on the white one?
My carry for concealed and shoulder holster is a Taurus PT series slim 9mm but for open carry and on the bike I carry a Springfield 1911 .45. Wife carries an old .38 snub revolver, she loves it and I keep trying to get her into a semi....

I traded a Yugo M70, a Hungarian AKM, a mixmaster AR, a glock and a 1911 for the cab. If I were to do it all again, I'd keep the guns and buy another cab and build it myself. I was seduced by the perfect door gaps and figured the workmanship throughout would match. But it didn't.
Oh, well. Lesson learned.
As far as my carry piece, it's a carried-a-lot-shot-a-little Glock 19.

My everyday carry is a glock 30. Been carrying it since 99. I use a G26 or G43 for long runs and ultra marathons through mountains

We got a little more done today. My brother worked on the "SUPER DUPER" tailgate more, welding the long seam. It warped a little so we had to break out the stud welder and pull on it. It will look really good once we get the weld dressed down and the filler done.
While my brother worked on that, I sanded the filler off of the passenger bedside to reveal some minor dings and dents and one rusty spot. I'm glad I took the filler down to the metal, because I world have cried if I had gone to all of the effort and expense of painting only to have a rust hole develop in short order. After getting down to bare metal, I did a little hammer and dolly work. Now I won't need thick pile of Bondo to make it straight.

Love the progress! The super duper is just perfect and needed to be done.
Re welding shops, call around and ask all your local auto parts places. I have a couple around here that sell welding gas and they are open weekends which can be a real bonus. Also, comb CL for a spare tank so you can keep two of each gas you use, this is really necessary anyway or else you'll either run out in the middle of a project every time, or you'll waste expensive gas because you filled it before it was empty before a project. But, I'm sure you didn't need me to tell you that!
It's expensive to keep doubles of all your gasses but it's worth it in the long run. You can also fill your own smaller bottles off of a bigger tank for even more economy if your welder prefers a smaller tank.

What kind of adaptor do you need to do this?? I have some of the big tanks that stay in my gun shop. I'd love to be able to full that smaller tank cheaper!

Not sure if you can buy them. My friend has made his that I borrow from time to time. I need to make one for myself so I don't need to borrow his. Basically it's just two threaded brass bits like the regulators would have, and a length of "special" hose which is hopefully rated to high pressure. Argon etc runs around 3000 psi. While this is pretty high, it's not insanely high. Non liquefied gasses like argon sort of equalize after a while so you never get a complete fill, but it's very fast, almost instant, and easy.
SAFETY EDIT: Don't be a complete moron and have some common sense. If you don't have common sense, don't weld. Argon only goes into argon bottles, etc. I'm not responsible for any injuries that anyone incurs from being a *******. I have my own ******* induced injuries to worry about.
