I was replacing my battery and decided to clean up the battery holder. Anyhow, I see that the plastic carbon container jug is pretty sad shape. e.g. acid from a long ago neglected battery has eaten a hole through the top. Anyhow, is this a junkyard item or is there an after market source? Didn't see any on ebay or amazon. Thanks.

Do you have emissions inspections that include visual checks for that?

Those systems are good to have when working right, but it you remove it, you should reroute fuel venting away from the engine compartment.

 

Since it can't see your truck from where I am, I don't know what make/model/year to search for but it looks like JCWhitney & Rock Auto has them. You could also try a junkyard.

I need to figure that out. I used to be a frequent poster here and on fordification.com years ago when I had 67 and 71 F-100s. I just changed my info to my 1990 but it's not showing up. I'll figure that out. Thanks.
