i am thinking of buying a 300-I6. it was punched to 30 over and spinns the rubber off of 35's but after 100 miles it strips the distributer gears to nothing should i leave it or buy it ? my 300 is running real rich and is junk should i get it or replace mine with a 302 which i can also get cheap.
where is the selection for the 351w? if you were to go to a V8, I would bypass the 302 and go with a 351w instead, more HP, same amoutn of torque as a 300, if mot a bit more, and stronger on the bottom end, and parts are cheaper to prefromance the engine
it cost me 500 to do the swap, including the engine, and way more horsepower, and torque, I have had it with inline 6's I have had 3, and all 3 have been garbage, knocks like crazy, lifter noise, etc... so I went with somthing that I will trust, which is a small block V8 preferably a windsor, and preformance parts are alot cheaper than the parts for a 6, spend $1000 on preformance parts, and I'll gaurentee you that I will come out ahead in horsepower and torque
