Road speed volume
Got a 03 xl F-250. Has the basic crap radio in it, but just scored a premium oem premium single disc radio for $20. It says it's set up for the auto volume control 'if equipped' in the service manual from the truck it came out of. My question is if the truck comes wired for this feature? I'm guessing there will be a wire going to the radio from the speedo cluster or ecm, correct?

Speed sensor wire in my 03 was in the compass/overhead display. I can't remember which wire it was but I had to tap into it and run a wire down the passanger side pillar and into the back of the radio plug. User FMRVT now [Too Many Toys] posted the infor on how to do this years ago. Maybe try a search.
