Got a exhaust leak. I found a broke stud in the rear drivers side bottom. So I have to replace the gasket and I want to replace all the studs and nuts any idea's and comments on replacement options IE stainless studs places to look do the studs come out easy?
I doubt they'll "come out easy"...I haven't done mine yet, but it's on my list, as the truck seems to be a bit LOUD to the "other" passenger
Anyway, a friend of mine gave me a can of AeroKroil, claims it's the best thing since beer in a can. I posted about it over on the other forum and the replies unamamously supported his claims, so I've been spraying mine for about 2wks now, whenever I think of it.
Got the truck apart now! I'm working on getting the manifold off. The EGR hose is toast so gotta get a new unit. The top bolts I got out but the bottom ones I may have to warm up or melt em since I'm putting new ford studs and nuts. I think I'm gonna have to go for an exhaust manifold also where the EGR pipe attaches its too rusty... The header pipe nuts are gonners so gotta melt the studs on them.....A little torch and maybe plasma cutting tomorrow..
