Does anyone know if the power steering brackets are different on a 302 vs a 351w ? I have a 1980 F100 that used to have a 302 i switched it over to a 351w with aluminum heads now the power steering bracket does not fit any help would be much appreciated thanks.

 

The pulleys won't line up or the bracket won't bolt up? If the bracket has bolt holes in the block and the head, I can guarantee the holes won't line up, the 351w block is taller, that puts the heads up higher and further apart, even though the heads will fit a 302 block.

 

Yes the bracket will bolt up but then the power steering pump wont line up so do you think i just need to get 351w brackets ?

And btw, the 1980/89 truck parts catalog application is wrong as no F350 of any year came with the anemic 255 or the 302.

 

What!? The catalog is wrong? Sacrilege!
